Fort Lauderdale: Beaches and city
If your ideal vacation involves strolling
along 32 kilometres of sandy beaches,
browsing swanky shops, enjoying fine dining and experiencing a dynamic cultural
scene, head to Fort Lauderdale, on Florida’s

Boca—as it’s known to locals— appeals to
everyone from foodies to fashionistas.
The area has lots to offer families as
well, with hands-on museums and attractions, including the Children’s Science
Explorium in Sugar Sand Park, and the

Miami: Hip vacation hot spot
Perched on Florida’s southeastern tip,
Miami—with its white-sand beaches and
turquoise waters—has long drawn visitors
eager to soak up the sun and enjoy the city’s
lively music, arts and foodie scene.
Miami’s Cuban-influenced vibe can be felt

Kitchen, located in the pedestrian plaza,
Palm Court, and Ofa, a new Brazilian eat-

food and craft cocktails.
Miami’s iconic Art Deco district, which
includes more than 800 buildings, contains the world’s largest collection of art
deco architecture. The eclectic, trendset-ting restaurants and all-night dance clubs
in South Beach make Miami a popular destination for young travellers.
The city also features more than 50
dive-worthy wreck sites, including ships
and army tanks. Take a break from the
beach by exploring the unique Everglades
ecosystem on an Everglades airboat adventure tour, where you’ll discover more than
485,000 hectares ( 1. 2 million acres) of
grasslands and preserved wilderness; you
may even spot some alligators. Or stroll
through the Wynwood arts district, known
for its upscale galleries and street art.
