BEING A COSTCO member often means stocking up on the products you use every day to make
sure you never run out of items such as milk, paper towels or lunch meat. But Costco is also an
ideal place to stock up on something you don’t really think about until you need it: insurance.
Regardless of your needs, Costco offers insurance at the value members expect.

Home and auto insurance

someone is there exclusively for them: Inova
“Inova’s services are only available to Costco
members,” says Patrick Beaudry, chief marketing
officer for Inova. And for the last 20 years, Inova has
been there for members every step of the way.
“We relentlessly work not only to make the
claims process more accessible, but also to
make the program more affordable to all
members across Canada,” Beaudry says.
By working with industry-leading companies, such as Aviva Canada, Travelers* and
Intact,* Inova is able to get members the right price
from the right provider.
“The sheer number of Costco members helps us
lobby insurance companies to obtain the best possi-
ble insurance coverage at the best possible price,”
Inova also works to innovate its technology.
Costco members can now get an auto insurance
quote directly on their smartphone (or desktop
computer) in less than 10 minutes, and it is even
possible for them to receive most policies digitally
Since Costco launched its auto and home insurance program with Inova in 2009, tens of thousands
of members’ cars and homes have been covered.
And the program continues to grow. Members
are initially impressed by the program’s exclusive low rates, but what really makes them
happy if they have to make a claim is the
quality of the service. If you have an accident, for instance, the auto insurance claim
process is speedy and smooth because every
