Entering the Costco Photo Contest is easy. Just point,
click and send. You are now able to “Give us your best
shot” by submitting the form and photo on-line or by
sending us your photo and form by mail. For on-line details go
to www.costco.ca. Whether it’s a photo from vacation, of
a loved one, of the exotic or ordinary, it will take only a few
minutes for you to send in your entry. So get snapping!
Contest closes on September 30, 2007. No
purchase necessary. Entry accepted on-line or
by postal mail. Contest is open only to existing
Costco members who are Canadian residents.
There are three (3) prizes and up to five (5)
honourable mentions. The approximate retail
value of the prizes is: CAN$1,584 for the first
prize, CAN$1,084 for the second prize,
CAN$584 for the third prize, and CAN$84 for
honourable-mention prizes. Costco reserves
the right to decide how many honourable
mentions may be awarded. All other costs
and expenses not expressly listed as part of
the prize are the sole responsibility of the
winner. Void where prohibited. Odds of being
selected as an eligible winner depend on total
number of eligible entries received and quality
of photos received. Limit one entry per person.
The eligible winner must correctly answer,
unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question.
Image guidelines: 1. Photos must be
suitable for viewing by the general public
regardless of age; 2. Photos must be taken
by participant within the calendar year prior
to the date the Contest closes; 3. Previously
published photos are acceptable;
Contest starts July 1, 2007.
4. Participants must know the names and
addresses of all identifiable people in their
photo and may be required to provide
supporting evidence; 5. Photos must be the
sole and original work of the participant;
First Prize: $1,500 Costco Cash card
Second Prize: $1,000 Costco Cash card
Third Prize: $500 Costco Cash card
All winners will also receive: A Photo Book
and 200 FREE 4" x 6" on-line digital prints courtesy of
the Costco Photo Centre. (Honourable mentions to be
awarded at judges’ discretion.)
6. Images may not be altered or manipulated
except by adjustment of brightness, contrast
and colour, or by dodging or burning, all as
determined at the sole discretion of the
Sponsor. 7. Composite images, as determined
at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, including
images created from separate images and
multiple exposures, will not be eligible for entry.
